I don't buy the notion that the push for optional easy modes in games is the cause of obsessive gamers bitching about "filthy casuals". Nobody is forcing the obsessives to play on easy mode.
I prefer to think that obsessive gamers who complain about "filthy casuals" are entitled assholes trying to be gatekeepers.
@starbreaker when there is a lack of danger in one’s life, gotta complain about the seemingly inane it seems.
@starbreaker @DictionaryPlus Says the person who has an #openbsd hashtag in their profile 😝
@starbreaker @samis I have been looking to install OpenBSD on a leftover laptop. I wanted to try something based on that rather than an Ubuntu fork.
As long as your hardware is compatible and you follow the installation instructions in the FAQ you shouldn't have any problems.
Hopefully your laptop doesn't have nVidia graphics or Broadcom wifi. And don't count on Bluetooth support.
@starbreaker @samis agreed. It’s just the play with. I thought I could make a live USB with TrueOS. Turned out, I couldn’t.
Not sure there's a live OpenBSD option either, but I know what I wanted.
I want my...
I want my BSD...
Now that ain't workin'
That's the way you do it
You run your network on BSD
Now that ain't workin'
That's the way you do it
Software for nothing
Keep your systems free

@samis @DictionaryPlus
It isn't just in my profile. It's on all of my personal computers.
And I just finished installing OpenBSD and setting up XFCE and LibreOffice on a neighbor's laptop. Gonna teach how to use it tomorrow.
